Alerts

Where messages go, and how to avoid pointless night-time noise.

A channel is a delivery address: email, Telegram or your own webhook. Channels are verified: nothing is sent until the address is confirmed. That protects you from someone else’s typo landing on your address.

What you receive

  • The job did not run in time — with the time it was expected.
  • The job reported a failure — with the output tail and exit code.
  • The job is working again — as a separate message, so nobody has to guess.

Quiet hours and maintenance windows

Quiet hours defer non-critical alerts until morning. A maintenance window silences them entirely for the duration of planned downtime — including notices to status page subscribers.

There is also a workspace-wide switch: during a large outage you already know about, muting everything for an hour beats sorting through a hundred emails afterwards.
